Aniimo Held Items: effects, enhancement and which to equip

Held Items, called Carried Items before launch, are the single piece of equipment an Aniimo wears. A Held Item's value is its base effect, its core effect and its enhancement level. Choose an item whose trigger belongs in the equipped Aniimo's real rotation, then enhance it only as far as the next effect justifies.

What a Held Item contributes

A Held Item is one equipment choice with three connected layers. Its base effect supplies a broad combat benefit, its core effect defines the trigger or play pattern, and enhancement raises the item level. Evaluate all three against the Aniimo that equips it.

LayerWhat it contributesWhat to check
Base effectA broad bonus such as Damage Amp, HP, BREAK, REGEN or enhanced healing.Match it to the Aniimo's combat role.
Core effectThe item's defining trigger and payoff.Confirm that the normal rotation activates it reliably.
EnhancementA higher item level.Compare the next upgrade with the materials it costs.

One object with three things to read: the broad benefit, the trigger, and what enhancement adds on top.
02

Read the base effect, then the core effect

The base effect tells you the broad job, while the core effect tells you how the item expects to be played. Ferocious Fang provides Damage Amp and adds ATK for each level of its wearer. Capacitous Battery also starts from Damage Amp, but its core effect increases Ultimate damage, so it belongs on a carry whose rotation reaches and uses the Ultimate often.

Core effects reward different combat patterns
Supreme Elixir changes the survival plan: Supreme Elixir increases final damage by 50 percent but reduces maximum HP to 1 and does not apply to Support Aniimo. Equip it only when the encounter plan avoids every damaging event.
03

Enhance the items your team uses

Enhancement consumes duplicate Held Items or Basic, Common and Advanced Held Item Cores. Select materials manually when a duplicate has value on another team, and inspect the confirmation screen before committing it.

  1. Base and coreThe base effect and core effect define the item. Test the trigger in the actual rotation before spending heavily.
  2. Upgrade the chosen itemCompare the next enhancement preview with its cost. Spend duplicates or cores once the item has earned its place in the rotation.
  3. Invest for the long termContinue enhancing after the main team has functional items and the upgrade remains worth the materials.
Raise breadth before height: Give each member of the main rotation a fitting core effect before finishing the enhancement on one item. A single finished item does not cover a full Holo roster.

One finished item lights one stretch of the path; four working ones light the whole wall.

Choose an item for each combat role

Representative Legendary choices by role

Role is the first filter, not the final answer. A mobile support can use Marching Flask, while a stationary defender gets more from Nature's Breath. Read the exact trigger and choose the one the encounter and rotation can sustain.

Alpha AniimoAlpha drops roll across the Rare, Epic and Legendary bands, and your player title sets the odds.Farm them for Epic from Student III and for Legendary from Wayfarer III.

Farming Alpha Aniimo for better gear only pays once your title climbs. Epic Held Items first become possible at Student III, and Legendary ones first become possible at Wayfarer III, which is also where Rare drops stop entirely. Below Wayfarer III no amount of Alpha clearing yields a Legendary, so buy those from the Paw Coin catalogue until you hold that title. Pawprint publishes the odds under the Held Item label and keys them to your title rather than to your Pathfinder Level.

Invest after the combat role is settled

  1. 1Choose the Aniimo and role

Decide whether the slot is DPS, tank, support or Break before comparing equipment.

  2. 2Match the base effect

Start with the broad stat package that helps that role every time it enters combat.

  3. 3Prove the core trigger

Run the real rotation and confirm that the item activates without forcing weaker skill timing or positioning.

  4. 4Check the next enhancement

Spend duplicates or cores on the item you plan to keep, checking the upgrade preview before each investment.

  5. 5Equip the rest of the team

Create four functional item choices before concentrating the entire material stock on one member.

  6. 6Finish enhancement selectively

Continue upgrading items whose trigger, role fit and encounter value remain strong.

Which Held Item is best for DPS?

How much does a Legendary Held Item cost?

The configured Paw Coin catalogue lists 24 Legendary Held Item types at 250 Paw Coin each. Check the current vendor listing before buying because the same currency also competes with other equipment goals.
